It's a New Day!!

And I am very VERY grateful for that!! Yesterday was one of "those" days. I think that normally I'm a pretty happy, positive, glass is half full kind of person but yesterday I was a "I'm really cranky, get out of my face kind of person." I don't know how people can live like that constantly because I can tell you by the end of the day I didn't like myself AT ALL. We were driving along and Anika asked me why I was sad and I totally snapped that I JUST WAS. The poor little thing then said "Mom, why are you talking grumpy to me when I say nice things to you?". Good grief. I was SUCH a HAG. Once again I found myself asking the question - Why OH WHY can't I be more like the man in the yellow hat. He makes me smile just thinking about him!!

Anyway, today I'm back to normal and repentant and feeling grateful for a new day and a chance to be a better person than I was yesterday.

At the end of nursery I noticed Keslie had a pink, goopy eye. YES. This is at the END of nursery. Hopefully we don't have a mass pinkeye epidemic (is that the right word to use there?) in our ward. I'd feel HORRIBLE!! We gave her drops on Sunday but Monday morning she woke up with swollen, stuck together eyes. It was SO sad but SOO cute! She's doing better today. Still a bit on the boogery side. I thought for sure I was getting it yesterday. I hoped I'd wake up with MY eyes stuck together this morning. Nathan told me that I should just start putting drops in my eyes. NO way! The goopiness is the best part of pinkeye! I do not want to miss that!!=) Haha!! Here is Kes yesterday. Pretty cool, right??! =)

I hope you all have a FABULOUS Tuesday!

For my blogger friends - I'm really sorry about my lack of comments lately!! I'll try to be better!! See ya!!

Oh you sweet girl! You are a remarkable mom and person so as you repent be sure to quickly forgive yourself too!!! We have no school today due to yucky weather so of course the kids are up and at it with massive energy and excitement! Have a wonderful day and know that this mom thinks you are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man I am so sorry you had a bad day yesterday. That was kinda my day the thurs. we wanted to have dinner. They really are no fun at all but you can stop even if you want to. Good thing the next day is always better:) but poor Kes with her eye. I hope I dont get that ever. I hate it! We didnt go to church on Sun. cuz Brayt has a very yucky cough and nose. Plus Dusty was doing kindof a sinus infection. He was not feeling good. Well I hope your day is going good and I will talk to you later. Love ya

Totally understand about having "those days" every once in a while, they are no fun but for some reason they get a hold of ya! Glad to hear things are back to normal for ya. Sorry about the pink eye, no fun. I had it a few times as a kid and I hated it. A warm wash cloth in the morning always helped unstick my eyes and it felt really nice too. Good luck with that and I hope she gets better soon!

Your not the only one! I seem to have those days too.... I am glad your visit here was wonderful. Sad for the pink eye though. She was pretty tough going to church and all. I had it about a year ago and it hurt so bad....I was a baby

I HEAR you love. I was in the weirdest funk today. Everyone has those days so don't be too hard on yourself. The important thing is that you rocked the next day. Sorry about Kes's eye, poor girl. She still looks adorable though.

I think I hate pink eye more than I hate the flu. Boogers just gross me out! :)

I think the weather there leads to some bad days, I swear. Anyway, the man in the yellow hat has bad days too doesn't he? He's just pretty oblivious most of the time. I think you're the most cheerful person I've ever met, so I'd rather be more like you than like the man in the yellow hat! And I think goopy eyes are icky. JJ

I know what you mean. I have had days like that and am always so grateful that EVENTUALLY the day will be over and I can go to bed and wake up and start over and try again. Thanks for sharing.
