Christmas Recap

We were so lucky this year!! Most of Nathan's family came to Texas for Christmas! We missed Jared and his family - hopefully we get to see them soon! We spend some time in Austin and some time in San Antonio and it was just great to be with everyone.

Here is a lovely picture of us on Christmas eve. I was probably talking - that's what I do in pictures. =)

Brooke and Scott hosted Christmas eve. The table was set beautifully and the food was divine!! They have such a lovely home!

The next day we went to Seaworld! It was so fun! It was the first time I was able to ride one of the roller coasters. I LOVE roller coasters! We saw a couple shows and fed the dolphins too. It was great. =)

I feel so incredibly blessed to have married into such a wonderful family. It was such a great Christmas! Thank you Mom and Dad West - it was perfect!

Pre-Christmas Joys!

Here is a rundown on some of our pre-Christmas fun in December!

Here are the girls in their Christmas dresses. Yup, the same ones as last year! I bought them a little big for a reason! =)
We went to Dickens on Main in Boerne. I'll be honest - it was pretty lame. Freezing cold and nothing to do! BUT, we did get a free visit to Santa and there was no line to wait in. =)
You've got to click on this picture so that you can REALLY see Keslie. It's hilarious and shows just how miserable the cold was! We had our annual gingerbread house night!
It got pretty late and the kids were so tired! Anika even fell asleep so Nathan took full advantage of the moment. =) One of the best things was getting to see the Jones'! They are so fun and it was great to visit and catch up! We can't wait for our next reunion!

AND - Brenan got a Christmas haircut. He was pretty pleased with it. =)

Tessa's Visit to Texas!

T Jazz (Tessa) came to Texas for a visit and we had the best time with her! I feel so grateful that I've been able to have 3 of my sisters visit me since I've been away from AZ. It's always so much fun! She got to experience the yumminess that is Taco Cabana, the amaziness of Charming Charlie, a drive-by of the Alamo, just about every mall in San Antonio, lunch at an elementary school, The River Walk, and some delicious homemade Indian food (her favorite part of the whole trip!! Haha - not so much!). We also made some music videos that will make us famous. Remember that walk down the red carpet I've been dreaming about? WELL, this might be the breakthrough I've been waiting for! =)

Nathan stared at us through our door window for awhile (he had been called in late at night). When he saw our moves he started singing "Hey Soul Sister" to me in his mind. Particularly the part that goes:

and THEN we saw him. True Story. =) We even caught it on video because we were preparing to do our 3rd video of the night.

Tessa was checking her e-mail one night and she had a giant cockroach walk on her foot. Keslie kindly informed her that a cricket was on her foot. =) I was impressed by her reaction. She hardly freaked out at all! I thought back to when the roach walked on my foot - I was pretty dramatic. =) She moved downstairs for the duration of her visit. We really don't have that many roaches - I just always talk about them when we do so it seems like a lot. I think we've had 6 or 7 since we moved here. That's not so bad!
